Xiu Xiu

The last time I saw Xiu Xiu live was last year at the Courtyard Café in Urbana, Illinois. Jamie Stewart started the show by handing out a piece of paper to the audience. It contained a list of about twenty songs. The idea was for one person to pick a song from the list for Xiu Xiu to play and then pass it on to another lucky duck to do the same. It was an amazing set and a great way to let the fans interact with the performers. The Air Force will be released September 12, and it is undoubtedly just as marvelous as its predecessors.
