The Icicles
Grand Rapids, MIThe Icicles come highly recommended for anyone who is a fan of bands like The Eames Era. This is some of the best girly powerpop I've heard in a long time... no offense to the one dude in the band.

okay, admittedly, i haven't bothered to check out the track, mostly because their coordinated flowery outfits make me want to vomit, and I can only assume that their music will make me want to do the same.
even worse, they appear to be from my town, which should have been obvious right away, since only a band from west michigan would have their photo taken in matching kitch while standing in their parents' front yard.
ugh.
i take it back. they're not bad.
fuck.
If you like The Icicles, head on over to the Drive-In Records Yahoo group and grab Talk Dirty To ME from the file section. I never knew Poison could sound so good.
