I've been loving Hot Lava since the beginning of the year, and their spectuacular CD is finally getting a proper release from Bar/None on October 7. Tomorrow night they'll be at Black Cat with Dressy Bessy and Squaaks, and I got a pair of tickets for a lucky Lava lover. I haven't had much of a chance to check out the entire new disc from Darker My Love, but I love what I've heard so far. Tonight these guys will be opening up for an older band that I recently rediscovered - The Dandy Warhols. The show is at 9:30 Club and doors open at 7:00.

Title Tracks will be playing their second official show tonight at Black Cat, snuggled in between Meredith Bragg and Miracle Fortress. It's a backstage event and doors open at 9:00.
