Villeneuve was first known for collaborating with artists like M83. I became aware of him from a Gooom sampler I picked up while shopping at Parasol a couple years back. I instantly fell in love. The elegant vocals of Melanie Pain, also of Nouvelle Vague, combined with innovative electronic pop music make the tracks on First Date nothing short of irresistible.
