I was pleasantly surprised to see MGMT on David Letterman last night. Nice performance, guys! I first saw them a few years back open up for Of Montreal. I was completely impressed with their live energy, and it translated quite well on to their demos disc. It's been way too long to get the proper release they deserve, but the time has finally come. January 22 is the date for Oracular Spectacular, and it is pretty spectacular! To catch their show here in DC, head out to Black Cat next Wednesday (January 16), which is the first of many live performances scheduled through March.
