Why it's a Favourite: I first heard a Sparkadia track on a mixtape that a friend gave me in London at the start of the year and I instantly loved them. Everything was right - sparse arrangements, driving rhythms and big pop melodies. It''s euphoric melancholy, like sobbing into the back of the headrest of a plane while watching Sex and the City: The Movie.
